Joanne Minieri, CPA, serves as Senior Executive Vice President of RXR Realty and Chief Operating Officer of RXR Development Services (RDS) and RXR Construction and Development (RCD). Ms. Minieri brings a wealth of experience from both the private and public sectors in the management and operation of development and construction to RXR’s $3 billion of development projects which include approximately 6,100 multi-family and for sale units. Ms. Minieri enjoyed a 17-year tenure at Forest City Ratner Companies as Chief Financial Officer in 1994, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in 1998, and President and Chief Operating Officer in 2007. Ms. Minieri was responsible for implementing the company’s business plan and directing the Executive Management team, which devised the company’s long-term business plan and evaluated development opportunities. Ms. Minieri oversaw all aspects of the company’s operations with an emphasis on the development and management of financial strategies, programs and procedures. Under Ms. Minieri’s leadership, the company diversified its portfolio with the development of 24 retail centers, 10 office buildings, two hotels and two residential projects and she was involved with the company’s acquisition of the New Jersey Nets NBA franchise. She also oversaw the predevelopment of The Atlantic Yards project, an 8-million square foot mixed use development which included a new state-of-the-art sports and entertainment venue, the Barclays Center. Most recently, Ms. Minieri acted as Deputy County Executive and Commissioner for Suffolk County, Economic Development and Planning, where she implemented the economic development initiatives, Connect Long Island and Long Island Innovation Zone (IZone) as part of Suffolk County’s strategy to create transit-oriented development and expand affordable multifamily housing options as well as to attract and retain businesses and jobs. Previously, Ms. Minieri worked for Kenneth Leventhal & Company, where she monitored the development of a number of New York City real estate projects. Ms. Minieri was the Chairman of the Suffolk County Industrial Development Agency Board and the Suffolk County Economic Development Corporation. She is also on the Board of Trinity Place Holdings, Inc., Hofstra University, NEW (NonTraditional Employment of Women) and NYU Schack Institute of Real Estate and co-chairs its annual National Women in Real Estate Symposium. Ms. Minieri is a member of New York State American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and New York State Society of CPAs and has received several awards for her accomplishments and leadership. Ms. Minieri holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Hofstra University.
