Bio
Jim is responsible for leading Cullinan Properties’ pre-development and ongoing development projects from inception to completion. His role includes overseeing development and municipal related activities for Rock Run Crossings in Joliet, IL and other developments throughout the Cullinan portfolio. Jim brings more than 30 years of public and private sector development experience to the team. Prior to joining Cullinan Properties, Jim served as a Planning and Client Services Manager at Hamilton Consulting Engineers, Inc. There, he assisted public agencies with their infrastructure, planning, building, management and economic development efforts. He also assisted private organizations with planning and zoning entitlement processes. Prior to Hamilton, Jim was a Regional Operations Director at SAFEbuilt. He also served as Community Preservation and Development Director at the City of Park Ridge and the Village of Plainfield. Jim holds a Master’s Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Florida State University and a Bachelor of Science Degree from the College of Agriculture, Consumer and Environmental Sciences at University of Illinois. He is also a certified planner through the American Planning Association (AICP). Jim has been a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) for more than 15 years. He is a member of the American Planning Association and has served as president and treasurer of the association’s Chicago Metro Section. Additionally, Jim is active with the University of Illinois Alumni Association and has been inducted into the University of Illinois’s ACES Alumni Association’s Round Barn Society. He has received an Honorary Degree from the National FFA Organization and his projects have received awards from the Illinois Parks and Recreation Association and the Illinois Chapter of the American Planning Association.
