Bio
Jim Rice serves as a managing director with Newmark's Multifamily Capital Markets Debt & Structured Finance group in the Portland, Oregon, office. With more than 20 years in mortgage banking, Mr. Rice has extensive experience in all aspects of loan originations including Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, FHA/HUD, life insurance companies, Wall Street conduits and banks. He has financed approximately $5 billion worth of real estate during his career and earned Top Producer awards on numerous occasions.
Previously, Mr. Rice served as a senior managing director and branch manager of Berkadia Commercial Mortgage's Portland office. Prior to that, he served at Barings Multifamily Capital and CBRE Capital Markets.
Education
Mr. Rice earned a Juris Doctor degree from the Lewis & Clark Law School and a bachelor's degree from University of California, Davis.
