Bio

Jim McKenney is Vice President – Construction, overseeing the design and entitlement of projects throughout the EDENS portfolio. Jim works with EDENS development and design teams to ensure that project goals are met and design standards are incorporated, working with design consultants and other entitlement professionals in order to obtain required government approvals. He also assists in the due diligence during the acquisition of properties, analyzing routine and potential redevelopment opportunities. Jim also oversees the resolution of complex environmental issues for both existing centers and redevelopment/development projects. He has extensive experience working with environmental consultants and attorneys in order to negotiate Brownfield Agreements, Voluntary Cleanup Program closures and No Further Action letters. As a professional engineer, Jim has more than 30 years of experience in design and management of construction of retail and mixed-use projects. Prior to joining EDENS, Jim worked in roles varying from project manager to vice president at engineering firms in more than 20 states. Jim is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. He received a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Cornell University.
