Jenna Gerstenlauer is the founder and Managing Partner of Sound Mark Partners. In this role, she is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the business, including investment decisions, portfolio management and business operations.


Prior to Sound Mark Partners, Ms. Gerstenlauer was the Chief Investment Officer at CBRE Capital Partners, a global debt and equity investment management firm. Ms. Gerstenlauer served as Managing Director & Head of Credit and Portfolio Management since joining the firm in 2009. She was also a member of the CBRE Global Investors Americas Operating Board, and a voting member of the CBRE Global Investors Finance Committee. During her tenure at CBRE Capital Partners, her investment team was responsible for over $800M of debt investments, as well as the oversight of asset management for those investments.


Prior to joining CBRE Capital Partners, Ms. Gerstenlauer was a Principal at True North Management Group, an institutional investment manager focused on mezzanine financing, bridge financing and distressed debt markets.


From 1999 to 2007, Ms. Gerstenlauer served as Managing Director and Head of Asset Management for Natixis Real Estate Capital, Inc. Ms. Gerstenlauer was responsible for asset managing various investment classes such as first mortgages, B-Notes, mezzanine loans and REO properties. Additionally, she was responsible for restructuring and facilitating the workout of all non-performing and distressed investments. Additionally, Ms. Gerstenlauer co-managed the construction and term/warehouse lending programs, including the underwriting, structuring and closing of such transactions.


Ms. Gerstenlauer holds a M.A. in Economics from New York University and a B.A. from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
