Bio
Jeff’s responsibilities include directing the financial, accounting, income tax and property tax reporting for DIG’s commercial portfolio. He has over 30 years managerial experience in real estate, financial analysis, accounting, financial reporting and operations within private industry and public accounting.
Prior to joining Dornin, Jeffrey was Controller at Watt Companies, a diversified Santa Monica based commercial and residential real estate company with over $3 billion in assets and revenues in excess of $175 million. Jeffrey also served as CFO for Chase Merritt, a commercial and residential real estate asset management firm, where he reported to Chris Dornin from 2009-2010. Prior to Chase Merritt, Jeffrey served in the Chief Financial Officer capacity for MG Properties, a west coast apartment manager and syndicator with more than $750 million in asset value in 50 properties with over 7,200 units, $80 million in annual revenues and 200 employees. Prior to that he served as CFO for Woodfin Suite Hotels, a national hotel developer, franchiser and operator with over $170 million in assets, $70 million in annual revenues and over 950 employees. He also previously served as CFO for Dovenmuehle Mortgage, a national mortgage company with 160 employees that originated $500 million in residential loans and serviced over $2.1 billion in mortgages. Preceding his work as a financial officer, Jeffrey was a financial, sales and operations consultant in the real estate industry and was directly involved in the negotiation and sale of more than $2 billion of real estate and loan assets and in the management of over $5 billion of real estate and loan portfolios. Jeffrey holds a BBA in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin.
