Bio

Bringing over three decades of capital markets and debt and equity placement experience, Jeff Morris, Managing Director, joined Walker & Dunlop in January 2020 as part of the MSF Real Estate Capital acquisition. Mr. Morris serves as a co-head of the company’s Ohio Capital Markets practice and focuses on sourcing and structuring financing for all commercial real estate asset classes nationally. Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Mr. Morris was the President and CEO of MSF Real Estate Capital. There, he oversaw all aspects of MSF’s loan origination process, including the establishment of more than a dozen mortgage correspondent relationships and growth of a loan servicing portfolio that is nearly $1 billion. The company was originally formed by Mr. Morris in 1980 under the name Morris Company. In 1984 Morris, Smith & Feyh, Incorporated was formed and was directly involved in the placement of more than $6.0 billion of debt for all classes of commercial real estate properties. From 2008, he was been instrumental in seeing Morris, Smith & Feyh double in size by diversifying its business lines to provide financing for all commercial real estate asset classes throughout the continental United States. Mr. Morris  was also actively engaged in the purchase or construction of institutional grade multifamily, retail and office properties located in Ohio, Indiana, and Florida. He has been involved in the acquisition or construction of more than $250 million of real estate assets since 1994. Mr. Morris attended Marietta College and is involved in a number of industry associations. Mr. Morris has been married since 1980 and is the father of 4 children. He has been a dedicated long distance runner and cyclist and has routinely been involved in many charitable causes.
