Jeffrey Katz

Jeffrey Katz is CEO and principal owner of Sherwood Equities. Through Sherwood, Mr. Katz has invested in, owned, developed and managed over 5 million square feet of property, valued at over $5 billion, throughout the NY metropolitan area. He has built a portfolio that has spanned nearly every asset class, from land, office, industrial, hotel and retail, to multifamily homes and luxury condominiums, in addition to outdoor advertising in Times Square. He has spearheaded Sherwood’s reputation within the real estate industry as a company with a strategic and meticulous approach, and an ability to act quickly without restraint. His work in the New York real estate market over the past several decades has actively reshaped Times Square, Hudson Yards and the Highline. In recent years, Mr. Katz has expanded Sherwood’s focus by adding opportunistic investing, through mezzanine lending, preferred equity and joint venture partnerships. He has organized a group of dedicated and experienced professionals at Sherwood Equities who collaborate seamlessly together to create consistent success.

Jeffrey Katz received his MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts.
