Bio
In addition to being a Partner in SPD, Jeff Wilpon serves as Executive Vice President of Sterling Equities. He has a 28-year history of actively managing and supervising sports facility construction. His most relevant construction and development projects include responsibility for the development, planning, design and construction of Citi Field, an $800 million ballpark, which was completed on schedule and under budget. Mr. Wilpon is the Chief Operating Officer of the New York Mets and the Brooklyn Cyclones. His development responsibilities in Brooklyn included working in partnership with the City of New York to oversee the planning, design and construction of MCU Park. Other sports-related projects that he has been responsible for include the construction and/or renovation of facilities for the New York Mets in Port St. Lucie, FL , the Dominican Republic, and Kingsport, TN. Jeff has extensive experience in overseeing major school, entertainment and tenant installations as well as the transactional aspects of such projects. Recent development and construction projects that he has been responsible for include 383 Madison Avenue, a 1.2-million-square-foot high-rise office tower in Midtown Manhattan, and the award-winning historic restoration of Radio City Music Hall.
