Bio
Jason Lenhoff is a long time veteran of the commercial real estate industry having begun his career back in 2000. All of this experience has provided him the ability to form Oakwood Realty Group in January 2024.
Prior to creating Oakwood, Jason spent the first nearly 19 years of his career working as a leasing and property management specialist side by side with his father, another veteran in the real estate business, at Horizon Realty Services, Inc. as Partner and Vice President. This was a special time in his life since Horizon was a firm that his father had built and created. During his tenure at Horizon, Jason learned many valuable lessons on all the nuances of commercial real estate from leasing, sales, and property management. While at Horizon, Jason successfully helped grow a management company in excess of 4,000,000sf managed for over 50 properties in a portfolio. His exceptional leasing efforts opened the door for many tenant representation roles across the county, and Landlord representation roles locally in the greater Chicagoland area.
After Horizon, he spent the next 4 years at Quantum Real Estate Advisors as an investment sales broker, quickly rising from Vice President to Executive Vice President in less than 2 years’ time. He worked tirelessly in bringing in new business, advising clients on market trends, and helping execute a disposition strategy. All of this work equated to him selling more than 1,000,000sf valued at over $100,000,000 worth of transaction volume. Working at these two organizations has given Lenhoff the well-rounded acumen to understand all angles of commercial real estate.
Over the course of time, he has developed an admirable career and reputation with brokers, property owners, developers, and tenants. Understanding current market trends has been a key component to Jason cultivating a successful outcome for leasing, sales, and managing an asset for a client. Being able to listen to what is important to an owner, using critical, analytical, and creative thinking, keeping informed on market trends, and understanding the mind of a retailer, are a few of the many attributes that Jason possesses.
Lenhoff said, “There is no asset that is too difficult, I believe. There is no relationship more important than another. Each client and asset presents its own unique set of needs, and I believe I am more than capable enough to handle the assignment and exceed the clients’ expectations. The foundation I set during my formative years spent leasing and managing has allowed me to truly understand the mind of a property owner. Because of this mindset, I am able to execute the desired goals that a property owner has.”
Jason earned a Bachelor of Art’s Degree in Business Administration from Roosevelt University in Chicago. He is a licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of Illinois, and a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
