Bio
Jasmine Sessoms joined HRP in July, 2020 as Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs in the Philadelphia office. Jasmine oversees the company’s community and government outreach efforts as HRP executes on its plan to clean up and transform the former PES refinery site into a state-of-the art, multi-modal logistics campus.
Jasmine serves as the key liaison to constituent groups throughout the City of Philadelphia and uses her deep understanding of the community to build trust and foster collaboration between HRP and the residents, groups and institutions we will seek to work with over the long-term.
As a lifelong Philadelphian, Jasmine is a well-known figure within the Philadelphia city government, having started her career in corporate giving before transitioning to Managing Executive Director of The Mayor's Fund, where she oversaw $17 million of grants and awards to deliver on the goals of the Mayor of Philadelphia’s philanthropic priorities. From 2017 until joining Community College of Philadelphia, she founded and led the political fundraising firm, J&S Strategies in Philadelphia.
As a 2006 graduate of Morgan State University, Jasmine holds a master’s degree in organizational development and leadership from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She serves as a Commissioner of the Governor's Advisory Commission on African American Affairs and is also Chairwoman of the Pennsylvania Legislative Black Caucus Foundation.
