Jarod King

Jarod King joined George Smith Partners in 2020 as a Senior Vice President bringing an array of commercial real estate finance experience to the firm. Mr. King has worked on financing and investment sale transactions in excess of $3.8B. Mr. King's direct involvement with numerous stages of the deal cycle across a multitude of asset classes has helped him to develop a unique perspective and a creative approach which enables him to effectively manage risk while delivering smooth executions.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. King was a vice president at a bulge bracket investment bank where he managed the credit process that resulted in the funding of over 100 CMBS perm-loans totaling $2.4B and bridge debt in the amount of $137M. Previously, he consulted for private equity firms in the distressed debt space where his underwriting services lead to the successful acquisition of $1.1B in non-performing loans. Mr. King originally began his real estate career in Santa Barbara, CA as an investment sales broker where he represented buyers and sellers in transactions valued at $179M.

Mr. King received his bachelor's degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He is a California native and currently resides in West Los Angeles with his beautiful wife Lara. Constantly in pursuit of the next great tale, his leisure time is spent exploring the world though music, food, and culture.
