Jamie Butler, Managing Director, is based in Walker & Dunlop’s Bethesda, Maryland office and leads a team of professionals responsible for providing equity and debt financing solutions to commercial real estate developers and owners throughout the United States. With more than 15 years of industry experience, Mr. Butler has arranged financing for commercial real estate transactions totaling over $12 billion and received numerous industry recognitions, including ranking consistently among the top producers in the Washington, D.C. region by Commercial Real Estate Brokerage Association.

Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Mr. Butler served as Senior Vice President at CBRE in the firm’s capital markets group, where he arranged equity, mezzanine debt, and senior debt through a wide range of capital sources. Before CBRE, Mr. Butler served as a vice president for Cushman and Wakefield (formerly Cassidy Turley). Over the last five years, he has completed over 75 development and repositioning transactions, representing over 14,000 residential units and 6.2 million square feet of office and retail. Earlier in his career, Mr. Butler served as a senior associate at Trammell Crow Company. Mr. Butler received a Bachelor of Science degree in public policy and economics from Vanderbilt University. Beyond the company, Mr. Butler is a member of Urban Land Institute, Council for Public-Private Partnerships, National Multifamily Housing Council, CoreNet Global Emerging, Mortgage Bankers Association, and is a licensed real estate salesperson in Virginia, Maryland, and District of Columbia. Mr. Butler is the father of two children and lives in Washington, D.C.
