James Tobin

James Tobin joined Bennett Realty & Development as the VP of Acquisitions based out of our Charlotte, North Carolina office where he will also manage day-to-day operations. With over twenty years of experience in many aspects of the commercial real estate space, James’ focus is on spearheading the firm’s acquisitions and developments in the Southeast. Prior to joining Bennett Realty & Development, James owned and managed a successful boutique commercial real estate company where he specialized in representing high net worth clients on the leasing, acquisition, and disposition of their assets. James’ breadth of experience includes land development, leasing, lender work-outs, and sale dispositions. He also has transacted in the restructuring of debt to position assets for sale. James has worked with large corporations including Santander Bank and Davita Dialysis. In his two decades of experience, James has completed a multitude of complex development deals which include multi-family and retail components. James’ primary effort is focused on sourcing, negotiating, and facilitating the Company’s development deals in Charlotte and throughout the Southeast. James is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his wife in their home state of North Carolina.
