Jamie McLawhorn

Jamie McLawhorn serves as President of Marsh Properties where he oversees company operations including development and property management, strategic planning and investments. He grew up in eastern North Carolina and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master’s in Accounting. Before joining Marsh Properties in 1996, Jamie worked for Coopers & Lybrand in the tax division, focusing on real estate clients, and for First Union Mortgage Company as a Risk Manager and Strategic Planner. He is a licensed NC Real Estate Broker and has served the apartment industry in various positions with the Greater Charlotte Apartment Association including President and as a board member of the Apartment Association of North Carolina. In the community, Jamie serves or has served on the Boards of Discovery Place, Carolina Thread Trail, Levine Museum of the New South (Past Chair), Charlotte Country Day School and other local non profits. He has served as an elder of Myers Park Presbyterian Church. Jamie is married to Hunter Johnston, granddaughter of Founder Lex Marsh. They have three children.
