Bio
James E. Hallstrom, Jr., MAI, CRE is the Managing Director and the leader of The Hallstrom Group team of valuation professionals that comprise the Hawaii CBRE Valuation & Advisory Services group. Raised in Hawaii, he has been appraising in the Islands for over three decades and has developed a strong reputation, and high credibility, as an expert witness in litigation matters, an arbitrator, and consultant in tax appeals—in addition to a steady hotel, golf course, and complex commercial property valuation and consulting practice. His clients include estates, landowners, lessees, law firms, financial institutions, corporations and other private investors.
Mr. Hallstrom is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin’s Center for Real Estate having been mentored by the late James A. Graaskamp. He holds the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute, the CRE designation with The Counselors of Real Estate, and is a State of Hawaii Certified General Appraiser.
