Ian Rickwood is a seasoned investor and entrepreneur with experience across geography and markets. He founded and became CEO of Henley in 2006 growing the business into the broad Investment business it is today. Prior to Henley he managed and grew two retail companies between 1996 and 2006 along with a small Propco and consultancy business. Ian has a degree in economics and started life in the corporate world with Procter and Gamble, later moving to PepsiCo where he was the European Sales Marketing Director.

Founded in 2006, Henley is a full service investment firm focused on alternative assets. We originate and manage real estate investment opportunities either through discretionary funds, segregated mandates or opportunity-specific SPV funds. We work with Institutional, Family Office and High Net Worth limited partner investors who join us in these investments.  We are a international investment and fund management firm with a focus on private equity real estate, deploying both institutional and private investor capital. Henley’s diversified investments span the risk/return spectrum, including opportunistic, value add, core plus and core strategies. Our first investment principle is to ensure we are preserving invested capital. Our second principle is to fully explore the multitude of options available to maximise returns. Opportunities we pursue typically have some form of arbitrage, distress or dislocation. Our third principle is look at every strategy and investment through an ESG lens; we believe that ESG is at the heart of smart investing and we look to create sustainable returns in an effective and responsible way.  Henley has a large in-house team of investors, advisors, developers and real estate professionals to originate and manage deal activity, and we also partner with like-minded high-quality operating partners.
