After a 25 year career as an Award Winning Film & TV Producer Kessler produced and developed over 25 titles that received the Sundance Grand Jury Prize, Cannes Camera d'Or, Prix Du Public Cannes, IFP Gotham Award, nominated for an IFP Independent Spirit Award and the Academy Award for Best Foreign Film. Kessler also worked for 10 years at Paramount Pictures running the feature film & television divisions at the Robert Evans Company on the Paramount Pictures Studio lot in Hollywood. While working with Viacom Resorts Group Kessler decided to pivot career focus to Commercial Real Estate. Kessler founded Woodland Hotel & Resort Group, LLC and started identifying real estate opportunities for Paramount Pictures inspired Boutique Hotels in the USA. In August of 2016 Kessler co-brokered the sale of the AMC Village 7 Theater located in Manhattan for $32,250,000. Subsequently he joined Marcus & Millichap's Manhattan office in October of 2016 and immediately sold the Red Lobster in Albany, NY for $6,900,000. to his 1031 exchange client. Kessler then become a member of Marcus & Millichap's National Hospitality Group and Global Capital Group (GCG) based on longstanding relationships with Pan-Asian and European Family Offices, International Investors, Retailers, Developers, and Institutional clients. GCG's cadre team provides services to these international clients from owner representation to capital advisory, investment sales, and 1031 exchanges. In August of 2018 Kessler co-brokered the sale of a historic cast iron vacant building, 446-448 Broadway in SoHo NY for $46,750,000. for his Hong Kong clients to local buyers. 2020 was a year of dramatic changes and in light of the existing migratory trend out of northeast urban centers into the southeast, Kessler has added his CRE brokerage and investment efforts to ground up developments and value-add multifamily assets in Georgia and Florida. Kessler recently moved to Paulus Hook, Jersey City with his wife and son.
