Bio
Greg is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and executing all of Saxum’s student housing acquisition and joint venture opportunities. He brings over $1.7 billion of real estate experience to Saxum.
He is an Adjunct Professor at the NYU Schack Institute of Real Estate. Prior to joining Saxum, Greg established Ash Real Estate to acquire select student housing opportunities in partnership with family office, foreign capital and private equity investors. At Ash, he was responsible for sourcing, evaluating, executing and asset managing acquisition opportunities. Prior to Ash, he was Director, Real Estate at Safanad, a Middle-East backed private equity firm, where he helped build the student housing platform to 12 properties; over 9,000 beds and over $600 million in total capitalization. Prior to that role, he was Senior Vice President of Acquisitions and Asset Management for Red Oak Acquisitions, a private company focused on commercial real estate and healthcare real estate/operating companies, where he executed over $1 billion of transactions. Prior to joining Red Oak, Greg worked at H/2 Capital where he underwrote multifamily, retail, office, hotel, industrial, healthcare, gaming, triple-net, self-storage and other property types as well as CMBS, whole loans, B-notes, mezz, corporate bonds, bank loans and preferred equity. Prior to joining H/2 Capital, Greg worked at Lehman Brothers, providing investment strategy consulting and supervision to high-net worth investors and family offices. Greg holds a degree in Political Economy from Princeton University.
