Gregg Carlin joined the CBRE Long Island office in January 2007 to be part of the New York Tri-State Region Retail Services Team and lead a group of talented brokers focusing exclusively on retail clients and developing new business opportunities within the region. Prior to joining CBRE Gregg spent 13 years with Ripco Real Estate Corp., where he worked with various retailers on their development strategy, site selection and lease negotiations.
A 30+ -year veteran of the brokerage business, Mr. Carlin is widely considered one of Long Island's most knowledgeable real estate professionals with an unsurpassed reputation for tenant representation, project leasing and investment sales. Mr. Carlin, over the years has orchestrated extensive market penetrations for many national retailers, most notably Regis Corporation, Famous Footwear, GNC, Work N' Gear, Kinko's, Mavis Discount Tire and 7 Eleven.
During his career, Mr. Carlin has assembled development sites for many leading retailers and developers.
He currently represents NFP, TD Ameritrade and Mavis Discount Tire. He provides strategic insight for property analysis and acquisitions as well as disposition and sales of existing locations.
Throughout his career, Mr. Carlin has been active in investment sales of shopping centers, net leased buildings, and development properties throughout the Tri-State market. During his career, he sold over $900 million dollars of commercial real estate.
