Bio
Greg Greene joined the Dallas office of CBRE in 2003 after five years at Ernst & Young. He specializes in structuring and negotiating large real estate financings for corporate clients and real estate investors. Along with Scott Lewis, Greg leads one of CBRE's most active commercial finance teams. This team closed over $1 billion in debt proceeds in 2017. These transactions include the financing of office buildings, lab and research facilities, distribution centers, manufacturing facilities, data centers and various other types of special use facilities. These credit-based and real estate-based financings are structured to provide superior economics and mitigate ownership risks.
His clients are spread throughout the U.S. and include a large number of publicly traded corporations, making him an anomaly among mortgage banking professionals. He also represents numerous real estate developers, REITs and other investors. Greg is a CPA and brings over twenty years experience in the areas of real estate finance and leasing. This experience includes real estate finance and advisory at CPA firms, real estate lease representation, and the Chief Financial Officer position for a privately held group of real estate companies. He has been named a Dallas Business Journal "Heavy Hitter" multiple times and won the Journal's 2009 "Most Creative Deal" award for the successful financing of Chesapeake Plaza during the credit crisis. Greg is a frequent author and speaker on various real estate capital markets topics and authors components of the CBRE national capital markets publications. He is also a Senior Member of CBRE's Institutional Properties group, a select team of individuals that focuses on large capital markets transactions.
