Work Experience

After spending four years with a shopping center development company, George joined Cushman & Wakefield |

Thalhimer in March, 1965. In the time between 1965 and now he has been involved in the development from the

ground up of a number of strip shopping centers in Virginia. This experience has involved adding value for the

owners by being involved in the planning, leasing and management of the centers. Also, over his 40 year career, he

has been successful in a number of substantial distribution leases and the sale of a major distribution center in the

Fredericksburg area and was the top commercial real estate producer in 1992 with the Richmond Association of

RELATORS. George took a parcel of farm land and developed a 245,072 square foot shopping center where all

decisions for the leasing and the management of the center was and still is his responsibility. More recently, George

has been involved in shopping center renovations.
