George McBee

George M. McBee joined the company in 2017 bringing more than 30 years of real estate industry expertise. His experience includes oversight of a project’s entire development from single tenant retail developmentsto retail mall redevelopments. His background includes project design and management for several civil engineering firms and development management for retail land development companies. George worked for a Civil Engineer/Land Surveyor in New Jersey for 11 years, advancing himself to Project Manager. Upon his arrival in Florida in 1994, George worked with Avid Engineering as a Senior Designer on many commercial projects. He became the first Branch Manager of Avid’s Orlando office, eventually becoming COO and then a partner in the firm. As Development Manager with Boyd Development, George oversaw projects ranging from drug stores and convenience stores to grocery-anchored shopping centers and commercial subdivisions. He garnered even more development experience as Director of Development with Center America Property/New Plan Excel Property Trust where he oversaw large grocery anchored/power centers throughout the southeast United States. George also worked with Michael Collard Properties as Senior VP of Development where he managed several grocery-anchored shopping centers. Married with four children and one grand-daughter, George is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
