Bio

George Kaneris joined the Albanese Organization as Vice President of Asset Management in 2015. He oversees the management of the firm’s residential, commercial, and mixed-use properties, and is responsible for the development and implementation of the overall strategy for the entire company portfolio. Mr. Kaneris has been active in real estate finance and development for over 18 years. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Kaneris was a Senior Asset Manager for Interventure Advisors LLP, a third-party asset management and advisory firm. There, he directed the strategy for over 3 million square feet of industrial and office assets throughout the United States. Prior to his tenure at Interventure, Mr. Kaneris served as Vice President of Asset Management and Acquisitions with RCG Urban American. Significantly, Mr. Kaneris implemented the overall strategy of the Fund, actively repositioned 7,000 rent regulated and free market apartments, and created the retail division for the company. Mr. Kaneris holds a B.A. in Philosophy from Hofstra University and a graduate degree in Real Estate Finance and Development from Cornell University. Additionally, Mr. Kaneris was designated a housing credit certified professional by the National Association of Home Builders. He is active in his community and is a member of the Cornell Real Estate Council and the Urban Land Institute.
