Gene Payne

Eugene (“Gene”) Payne joined Broadreach Capital Partners in 2003 and currently serves as managing director overseeing investment, development and disposition activity across the portfolio. During his tenure at Broadreach, Gene has been responsible for managing more than $3.5 billion of acquisitions, developments and dispositions. His most recent work includes the successful acquisition and entitlement of two ground-up development projects valued at over $800 million in the Silicon Valley. Additionally, Gene has managed over $600 million in financing activity for the company.

Gene joined Broadreach from JPMorgan Partners where he focused on real estate acquisition and asset management activities in the western United States. Previously, Gene worked in the real estate investment and advisory group at Morgan Stanley, focusing on principal acquisitions and client advisory work.

Gene graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown University with a BS in Finance. He is a member of the Office Development Council of the Urban Land Institute and a member of both the NAIOP Silicon Valley and San Francisco Bay Area chapters. Additionally, Gene serves as a board member on the Mountain View Transportation Management Association and various other community boards.

Gene is a native of San Francisco and resides there with his wife, Michelle, and two children.
