Bio
With more than 30 years of experience in banking, capital markets
and real estate investment and development, Gary has sourced,
underwritten and structured/negotiated more than $8.0 billion worth of
commercial real estate transactions throughout his career. In addition,
he has closed over $1.5 billion in joint venture transactions with several
of the most prestigious institutional investment groups in the U.S. As a
former Principal of a northeast regional investment and development
company, Gary brings a unique and valued perspective in helping his
clients achieve their real estate objectives.
Prior to joining Lee & Associates, Gary served as Managing Director
in the Northeast Capital Markets Group of Transwestern focusing on
capital markets transactions in the Tri-state area. Before that, Gary
was a Principal with Llenrock Advisors where he was responsible for
providing investment banking services for the firm's private client group
and sourcing and evaluating principal transactions on office, industrial,
residential, hospitality and mixed-use properties.
Prior to that, Gary was Managing Director of capital markets and
acquisitions for one of the Northeast's premier, privately-held investment
platforms. He managed investment risk analysis, sourced, negotiated
and documented transactions, held primary relationship responsibilities
with the company's institutional investment partners and financial
institutions, chaired the investment due diligence committee and was a
member of the company's investment and management committees.
During this time, he closed in excess of $6 billion worth of acquisitions,
development projects, and debt and equity placements.
Gary began his career in banking with Marine Midland Bank (HBSC),
State Street Bank and Bank of New York, sourcing and closing more
than $2 billion of structured finance facilities.
