Bio
Gary W. Glenewinkel is the co-managing member of Altman Glenewinkel Construction LLC and the President & CEO of Glenewinkel Construction Company. With a construction industry career spanning over 36 years (25 years in South Florida), Gary realized his dream of operating his own firm in December of 2009. Prior to starting Glenewinkel Construction, Gary held positions with Centex Rooney Construction as Executive Vice President & COO and Pavarini Construction Co., Inc. as President.
His hands-on construction experience in all facets of the industry has nurtured the expertise he leads his team with. Gary has demonstrated innovative construction practices in numerous markets, constructing highly visible projects that require skill, sensitive program requirements and knowledge in all construction processes. Gary’s notable projects include Atlantis Paradise Island, Our Lucayan, multiple resort hotels at Walt Disney World, and the BB&T Center – home of the Florida Panthers hockey team.
Gary actively supports many local charities such as Boys and Girls Club, Children’s Opportunity Group, Big Brothers and Big Sisters and Broward College Foundation. He is also dedicated to strengthening the capabilities of local and minority contractors.
He is a graduate of the University of Texas with a Bachelor in General Business and Architectural Engineering. Gary is also a graduate of the University of Houston with a Master in Business Administration.
