Bio

As Vice President of Acquisitions & Development, Frank manages the design and initial phases of ground-up development projects as well as overseeing the due diligence and transaction management for the company’s property acquisitions. Since his arrival at Basin Street Properties in 1994, Frank has played a direct role in most functions of the company including entitlements, construction, leasing and property management. Frank is responsible for the successful execution of development projects across each of the company’s product types including Class A office buildings and campuses, multifamily projects (both garden style and urban core), hotels, and light industrial properties. Frank’s role also includes identifying, evaluating, and advising on new acquisitions for the company. Since his arrival at Basin Street in 1994, Frank has helped guide the acquisition and development of more than five million square feet of space. In addition, he has overseen the entitlement and/or acquisition and development of multiple select service hotels and apartment projects and has a lead role in identifying and implementing upgrades of tenant amenities within the company’s acquisitions. With more than 25 years of commercial real estate experience, Frank has had a direct role in most functions of the company including entitlements, construction, leasing, and property management. Major development projects include Petaluma’s Theatre District which started with the acquisition and repositioning of a mostly vacant feed mill-turned-retail project and finished with the acquisition, razing, and redevelopment of six square blocks of underutilized, functionally-obsolete and contaminated properties into a thriving district of offices, restaurants, apartments and multiplex theater. Other more recent projects include the repositioning and re-entitlement of two office pads for a Class A 90-unit multifamily project and a 140-key Hilton Home2 Suites Hotel. Frank holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Chico State. He has served on many economic development boards and is a member of ULI Sacramento. He is also president and co-founder of his son’s soccer club and can be found in his free time on challenging mountain bike rides, reading, or cooking for his wife and two children.
