Ernie Knodel

Ernie Knodel is enjoying a 40+ year career in all aspects of real estate management including development, construction, sales and leasing. Born and raised in Canada, Ernie spent 20 years in construction and real estate development in Canada before relocating his family to the United States. Over the past 20 years, he has provided his expertise in commercial, retail and industrial projects across the United States and Mexico. As a former Vice President of AMB Property Corporation (now Prologis), a San Francisco based industrial REIT, Ernie helped establish the company’s in-house development strategies. Aside from ground up development, he broadened the company’s scope by developing creative solutions for functionally obsolete properties. This included converting manufacturing facilities to port-related distribution facilities, repositioning industrial property to high-density mixed uses and initiating a small building for sale program. Prior to joining Orchard Partners, Ernie helped grow Venture Corporation into a development structure providing small businesses with the opportunity to own their real estate for their operations. The Venture Center model grew to over 20 developments in five states delivering over 1,000 individual business condominiums.
