Bio
Erik Franks is a Vice President with CBRE Capital Markets' Debt and Structured Finance group division, and is based in the downtown San Francisco office. Mr. Franks originates, underwrites and funds mortgages in the owner-occupied and small to mid-market commercial real estate space. He covers Northern California, with a focus on the San Francisco Bay Area. Erik is a designated producer for CBRE's Freddie Mac Small Balance Loan Program.
Mr. Franks has been with CBRE Capital Markets since 2012 and has facilitated more than $1.6 billion in debt transactions with property owners / investment firms of all sizes, and all types of debt sources. He has successfully originated, underwritten and closed commercial mortgage debt and equity for all property types across the country, and has executed complex financing structures, including credit facilities, preferred equity and tax credit financings.
Prior to joining CBRE's Debt & Structured Finance group, Mr. Franks worked with another national mortgage banking firm placing all types of debt and equity. Mr. Franks started his career as an on-site manager at a large multifamily property.
