Eric Tank is the CTO of Woodcrest Capital, guiding Woodcrest and Affiliates in keeping up with the rapid technological advances in our various fields of work. He also oversees the maintenance of and upgrades to the various IT systems used throughout Woodcrest. Eric is leading many efforts to continually improve company operations across the board, including and especially on the cybersecurity and physical security fronts. He graduated with a Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering from Arizona State University and a Master’s in Sustainable Engineering through Rochester Institute of Technology. An Eagle Scout from Fort Worth, Eric returned to Woodcrest in 2014 and in his spare time can often be found biking around town, baking, or working with glass both at home and in a studio.

Since its founding in 1981, Woodcrest has completed investment transactions involving many types of developments, purchases and structured financings. Throughout its history, Woodcrest has been a developer and active purchaser of real estate and financial instruments, including undeveloped land, office buildings, shopping centers, apartments, warehouses, and other commercial properties. Its concentration on a variety of property uses has led to a flexibility adapting to the market and a unique ability to identify growth trends, capitalizing on the value they create.The size of typical transactions range from 3 to 25 million dollars and thousands of acres, to small opportunistic purchases, making Woodcrest’s interest and its activities without limits. Although its concentration and focus has been primarily in the Southern and Midwestern states, Woodcrest has also been very involved in opportunities which have become available in Oklahoma, Illinois, Arizona, Georgia, Missouri, Virginia, Alabama, Kansas, Tennessee, Ohio, and Michigan. These development and acquisition activities have been instrumental in the growth and development of communities and the redevelopment of existing neighborhoods. We are always interested in well valued properties in growth areas to add to our portfolio. Its success has been attributed to the vision and real estate expertise of founder Jim Ryffel. Benefiting from a talented in-house staff of construction professionals, project managers and construction superintendents, Woodcrest has an ability to move quickly and complete a project even on the shortest of schedules. The results have been an impressive portfolio of properties, such as the new “lifestyle shopping centers.” Additionally, Woodcrest’s development team has been successful in taking existing and older properties and completely renovating them, creating a revitalized project with new growth potential and a profitable future. Often, these overlooked opportunities can reward the ownership and their surrounding neighborhoods with new and exciting activity, as well as increased revenue and reduced maintenance costs.
