Eric C. Smyth is a founding Principal and CEO of CIP Real Estate. Mr. Smyth directs the firm’s property operations and is the first point of contact relating to property acquisitions and is jointly responsible for due diligence and underwriting of all purchase and sale transactions. Since the company’s founding in 1995, he has overseen acquisitions and dispositions totaling more than $1 billion and managed over eight million square feet of project renovations. As a member of senior management Mr. Smyth is also active in strategic decisions regarding operations, staffing, planning, and direction of CIP Real Estate. Mr. Smyth is a licensed California real estate broker and has been actively involved in the real estate industry since 1982, including as a principal of Smyth Asset Management Company, the commercial property management and consulting affiliate of Smyth Brothers, Inc., a private family office residential and commercial development firm. Mr. Smyth is a graduate of the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Science degree in Real Estate Finance and Entrepreneurship. He is married with three grown sons and resides in Newport Beach, California.
