Eric Sears is a Senior Associate in CBRE’s Downtown Manhattan office, where he focuses on tenant representation, serving clients throughout Manhattan.
With a significant background in investment sales, Eric brings exceptionally strong financial savvy to his role. Before joining CBRE in early 2017, he worked as an Investment Sales Senior Associate at Cushman & Wakefield for three years. Eric sourced new opportunities with a goal of brokering commercial property sales or obtaining financing for real estate transactions, focusing on middle-market multi-family and mixed-use building deals as well as land deals. Through networking, canvasing, cold calling and presentations, he originated business that exceeded $150 million in closed transactions. Added to this, Eric was responsible for underwriting property values using investment models and best-use analyses, as well as managing originated property listings for the life of his assignments—conducting tours, providing creative input for marketing and bringing transactions to a successful close.
Before he began working in real estate, Eric held various account management and sales roles in sports-related industries, including Under Armour and Kroenke Sports, the owner of the Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche. Eric was active in Sigma Chi as an undergraduate, as well as a varsity athlete on the University of Kentucky football team. Today Eric is an avid skier and golfer as well as engaging with the cultural life of the city, enjoying memberships at the Met, Guggenheim and Whitney museums. He is a member of MindsAhead, an educational organization dedicated to delivering high-quality after school programs to young children and goal-based tutoring to older children.
