Bio
Mr. Schleif joined Meridian in 2014 and currently serves as a Vice President in the company's New York City headquarters. He is responsible for the origination and placement of loans across a broad array of property types, including multifamily, office, retail, and single-family rental portfolios in locations including New York, Florida, Ohio, and Connecticut.
Prior to joining Meridian, Mr. Schleif spent 12 years at the Community Preservation Corporation as a loan officer, where he managed a portfolio totaling $450 million of multifamily construction loans and loan modifications/workouts. Mr. Schleif closed 53% of the company's loans in 2013 on its new credit facility.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Schleif has negotiated more than $2 billion in financing covering multifamily, office, retail, single-family rental portfolios, and other property types across the United States. Notable financing transactions negotiated by Mr. Schleif include a $374 million refinance of a 39-building multifamily portfolio totaling 3,652 units.
Mr. Schleif holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Marist College.
