Edison Hwang

Edison F. Hwang is a Senior Financial Analyst with CBRE Capital Markets. Mr. Hwang joined CBRE from the Sapir Organization, where he worked in the Real Estate Private Equity and Acquisitions group as a Financial Analyst reporting to Alex Sapir.

Prior to working in the real estate industry, Mr. Hwang worked for over 11-years on Wall Street as an investment banking and buy-side professional. On the buy-side, Mr. Hwang served as a Vice President and Senior Corporate Credit Analyst in Crescent Capital Group’s Leveraged Finance team and was responsible for a $1-billion-dollar investment portfolio ranging from sub-investment grade loans, high-yield bonds, distressed product and mezzanine securities. Before being recruited to Crescent Capital, Mr. Hwang worked for several years as a Leverage Finance and High Yield Capital Markets investment banker in New York for Credit Suisse and Citigroup, where he specialized in leveraged buyouts, debt and equity financings, liability management solutions and acquisition finance. He also spent time in Hong Kong working for both Goldman Sachs and Citigroup as a Debt Capital Markets specialist. During his time as an investment banker, Mr. Hwang originated and syndicated over $3-billion in senior secured loans, $6-billion in high-yield & high-grade corporate bonds and $5-billion in sovereign & semi-sovereign debt offerings for over 60-clients in the United States, Europe, Canada and the Asia Pacific Rim.

Edison Hwang is a graduate of Princeton University where received his bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a Minor in Economics and a Certificate in East Asian Studies.
