Ed Leinss

Mr. Leinss joined Meridian in 2020 and currently serves as an Associate in the company's New York City headquarters. He is responsible for the origination and placement of loans across a broad array of property types, including multifamily, office, hotel, retail and industrial.

Prior to joining Meridian, Mr. Leinss was an investment sales broker with Bestreich Realty Group where he focused on the sale of multifamily, mixed-use, and development sites throughout Northeast Brooklyn and Queens.

Previously, Mr. Leinss was an associate director at Newmark Knight Frank, where he was personally involved in the sale of regional shopping centers and mixed-use properties with a total transaction volume north of $750 million. He and his team provided investment sales and advisory services for REITs, institutional investment advisors, hedge funds, special servicers / lenders, and private equity / high-net-worth individuals. Mr. Leinss also spent several years at a principal side investment firm (Suncroft Advisors) specializing in hotel acquisitions.

Mr. Leinss is a graduate of the University of Alabama and New York University's Schack Institute of Real Estate, where he holds a Master of Science degree in Real Estate Finance and Investments.
