With more than 2 decades of experience heading up Human Resources in various global roles, Derek has led both private and public organizations through hyper-growth, IPO’s and successful M&A exits, while earning both local and national top employer recognition.
Prior to joining CrowdStreet, Derek advised, coached and led executive teams in such diverse industries as fintech, adtech, consumer software, marketplace rewards, machine learning security, consumer hardware, aerospace, telecom and professional services. Derek’s consulting and professional work now focuses on scaling hyper-growth distributed teams and speaking as an engaged future of work advocate.
Derek holds a BA in Psychology from L’Université d’Ottawa, a Graduate Diploma in Human Resources from Humber College and an MBA from Canada’s Athabasca University.
