Bio
In his role as Chief Financial Officer, Dean Parsons is responsible for capital planning and treasury management. He also works with Prospera’s investment partners, focusing on expanding its investor base and evaluating additional sources of capital to support growth and diversification. Dean has more than twenty-five years of experience in the banking industry, which includes time as senior Vice President and Orange County market manager in the Southern California Commercial Real Estate Banking Group with Bank of America Merrill Lynch. In his role as Senior Vice President, Dean oversaw and grew a $3.6 billion loan portfolio with many of the firm’s largest clients and completed loan originations totaling more than $7.5 billion. Prior to his role at Bank of America, Parsons worked for Well Fargo and Citicorp, as well as Bank of the West and Cal National Bank. Dean balances his role as a strong advocate for the real estate industry with a commitment to volunteer work through his service as a board member for NAIOP SoCal. He is also a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and is active with the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). Dean is also the past chair of the Orange County United Way Real Estate & Building Industry Committee and is a board member with HomeAid Orange County. During his time at NAIOP SoCal and over the course of his six-year tenure on the board of directors and executive committee for the University of California at Riverside Alumni Association, Dean has translated his extensive experience into becoming a mentor for the next generation of industry professionals. On the weekends, he likes spending time on the sports field with his daughter, coaching and watching her lacrosse games.
