Bio
With over 35 years in the commercial real estate business, David Sherman is recognized as one of the most successful and seasoned tenant representation brokers in the Tri-State. As Executive Managing Director in Cushman & Wakefield's East Rutherford office, David leads a team of seven brokerage professionals, and has been engaged as both a broker and consultant by many of the world's foremost corporations, financial institutions and landlords. He's known as a strategic thinker who leverages and implements the company's integrated platform to provide successful solutions to his clients.
David has completed some of the largest office and industrial leasing and sales assignments in the country, and currently handles over two million square feet of tenant representation assignments for Fortune 500 companies. He has collaborated with numerous national colleagues on a variety of real estate assignments across the United States, with a total transaction value of over $1 billion in leasing and sales.
Recently, David provided strategic planning and guidance in engineering headquarters transactions for Assured Partners, Valeant Pharmaceuticals, Integra, Comodo, and GEP.
A member of Cushman & Wakefield's in-house Legal Sector Advisory Group, David has also been recognized for his creative deal-making abilities for law firms throughout the state. He also provides mentorship and guidance to junior brokers as part of Cushman & Wakefield's Associate Broker Development education and training program.
He joined Cushman & Wakefield in 2008 after spending over 25 years with CBRE (formerly Insignia/ESG).
