David Ruger

David directs Kimpton's development activities along the East Coast of the United States, eastern Canada, and the Caribbean. Before joining Kimpton, David worked on the Real Estate Investment Management team at Marriott International / Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide where he focused on dispositions as well as real estate strategy and analysis for corporate-owned hotels throughout South America, Europe, and North America. During his hospitality career, David has risen through positions with Crimson Rock Capital, Aimbridge Hospitality, Capital Hotel Management, and Hospitality Valuation Services (HVS). A graduate of Boston University's School of Hospitality, David enjoys spending time outdoors and unplugging from technology. His favorite activities include traveling to national parks, yoga, snowboarding, gardening, snorkeling, and exploring the world with his wife.
