Bio

David Murphy is an Executive Vice President with CBRE. He is the firm's top producing industrial broker in the northern half of Florida and is recognized as one of the leading industrial real estate professionals in the Southeastern United States. David oversees a multi-disciplined industrial and logistics team whose market knowledge, creativity, and industry relationships provide winning solutions for his clients. David and his team have completed over $2 billion in industrial sale and lease transactions over the past 22 years at CBRE.

 

David has been recognized for an unprecedented eighteen times as Industrial Broker of the Year by the Central Florida Chapter of NAIOP. He has appeared multiple years at CBRE's National Recognition Conference as one of the firm's top brokers in the Americas and is also a recipient of CBRE's Florida Award of Excellence. In 2018, American City Business Journals named David one of the Top 100 Commercial Real Estate Professionals in the United States. Both a Florida Certified General Appraiser and a Member of the Appraisal Institute (MAI) David combines relentless advocacy for his clients with a strong technical real estate background. He is a sought-after national speaker on emerging trends impacting industrial real estate and is frequently quoted in local and national publications.

 

David began his real estate career in 1989 as a freshman at the Pennsylvania State University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Real Estate. He was a member of the Penn State men's ice hockey team and was later inducted into the Penn State Hockey Hall of Fame. David played professional hockey in the East Coast Hockey League and raced late model stock cars at several Pennsylvania tracks before moving to Florida and joining the Orlando office of CBRE in 1998.
