Bio

We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give. After nearly 30 years in the banking world, David determined it was time to retire and fill his days with good coffee, long dog walks, and plenty of rest and relaxation. It didn’t take him long to discover that one can only drink so much coffee in a day, and thus his new “second-half” career in hospitality was kickstarted – and boy are we glad. Our go-to numbers guy, David’s job as Director of Investments means he’s responsible for managing all company-held financial assets. And as a self-proclaimed math-lover, David’s analytical mind and years of senior-level financial experience make him the perfect fit for the role. David credits his success to his mom and dad, neither of whom knew much about business but were really nice people who influenced him on all of the stuff that really matters in life, such as being a dependable person and giving back to those in need. His ideal day-off involves sitting in a coffee shop, drinking coffee (dark roast with a steamed soy topper) while reading the Wall Street Journal, and spending time surrounded by his wife and their three grown sons. Experience USAmeriBank, Executive Vice President, Chief Economist & Chief Investment Officer, 2014-2018 Cole Taylor Bank, Group Senior Vice President, Treasurer, 2009-2014 LaSalle National Bank, Senior Vice President, Deputy Director of Balance Sheet Management & Economics, 1997-2007 Boatmen’s National Bank, Vice President, Manager of Asset/ Liability Support Group, 1990-1997 Edward Jones & Co. Investment Analyst, Product Review Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Member, National Association for Business Economics Treasurer, Tampa Hillsborough Homeless Initiative
