David Houtz

Mr. Houtz joined MAA in December 2016 following the merger with Post Properties, Inc. Prior to joining Post in 2007 Mr. Houtz worked for general contractors in military multifamily, heavy highway, and retail. Mr. Houtz was employed with military multifamily contractor Hunt Building Company for 16 years, primarily in the Western states. At Hunt, Mr. Houtz held positions from Field Engineer, Estimator, Superintendent, Project Engineer, and finally Project Manager. At MAA, Mr. Houtz manages third party construction and assists with design development of new property acquisitions in the Texas and Colorado markets. Mr. Houtz graduated from the University of Wyoming in 1986 with a BS in Civil Engineering (Construction option) and is EIT (Engineer in Training) certified.
