Bio

David R. Greenbaum is Vice Chairman of Vornado Realty Trust. Mr. Greenbaum, a former tax attorney at Weil Gotshal & Manges, joined The Mendik Company in 1982, a private owner of commercial real estate properties in New York City. Mr. Greenbaum was named President of The Mendik Company in 1990. In 1997, The Mendik Company merged into Vornado Realty Trust. Mr. Greenbaum is a Trustee and member of the Executive Committee of the Citizens Budget Commission, a private watch-dog organization which oversees the City's and State's fiscal policies. Mr. Greenbaum is also a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Governors of the Real Estate Board of New York, a member of the Realty Advisory Board and serves on the Board of Directors for the 34th Street Partnership, The Grand Central Partnership and the Times Square Alliance, all public/private efforts to enhance New York's mid-town business districts. Mr. Greenbaum is also a member of the New York University Schack Institute of Real Estate Advisory Board. Mr. Greenbaum was selected by the New York City Partnership to participate in the David Rockefeller Fellows Program. Mr. Greenbaum also serves on the Boards of the Jewish National Fund as a Presidential Advisor, the Jewish Guild for the Blind- and the Jeffery Modell Foundation. Mr. Greenbaum is the 2010 recipient of The Real Estate Board of New York Bernard H. Mendik Lifetime Achievement Award and in 2020, Mr. Greenbaum was awarded The Harry B. Helmsley Distinguished New Yorker Award by the Real Estate Board of New York. Mr. Greenbaum earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Rochester and his JD degree from the University of Chicago Law School.
