Bio

Highpoint Residential, LLC (“Highpoint”) is a Midwest based multifamily owner specializing in the acquisition, management and development of multifamily rental communities. Highpoint was formed by the merger of Andover Hill Investments, led by David Bornstein, and BNB Realty, led by Barry Seiden. The principals have over twenty-five years’ history of successfully acquiring and managing over 6,000 units in a variety of sub-markets.

 

Mr. Bornstein oversees all acquisitions, development, property operations and marketing activities on Highpoint’s apartment portfolio. He has accumulated over 25 years of experience in real estate acquisitions and finance, having previously served as the head of acquisitions for Oculus Development and Plato Foufas & Co. Prior to Oculus Development and Plato Foufas & Co., Mr. Bornstein was the Chicago based acquisitions professional for Home Properties, a publicly traded multifamily REIT. Before joining Home Properties, Mr. Bornstein held various positions in real estate banking with CIBC World Markets and Bank of America, as well as served as an adjunct professor at Roosevelt University where he instructed graduate students on real estate valuation and investment analysis.

 

Mr. Bornstein received a Bachelor of Arts degree, a Master in Business Administration (Real Estate) and a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Wisconsin. He was admitted to the Wisconsin Bar in 1996.
