Bio

David M. Aaronson is an Executive Vice President of CBRE’s Debt & Structured Finance Group. Prior to CBRE, Mr. Aaronson was a Senior Vice President of Grandbridge Real Estate Capital LLC. Grandbridge acquired Live Oak Capital, Ltd., in December of 2008, where Mr. Aaronson served as a principal. Before forming Live Oak Capital, Mr. Aaronson was the senior managing director of the Houston division of Holliday Fenoglio Fowler and a member of that company’s leadership team.

 

While at Holliday Fenoglio, Mr. Aaronson was one of the firm's top producers. His responsibilities included debt originations, joint venture and equity placement, investment sales, and investor relations. From 1997–1998, he served as president of the Houston division and directed a production staff of 40 professionals who produced in excess of $1 billion annually.

 

From 1985 to 1990 Mr. Aaronson was a partner in a Houston-based commercial mortgage banking firm. The firm specialized in debt originations, equity and joint venture placements, and investment sales in Texas and New Mexico.

 

Mr. Aaronson began his career as an employee of Commonwealth Savings Association. While there, he was one of three individuals who started the commercial mortgage division, and he was responsible for business generation and investor relations.

 

Mr. Aaronson graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1980 with a B.A. in real estate finance. He is a licensed real estate broker in Texas, a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), and a NAIOP local chapter member. He has served as a guest lecturer for Rice University, has been a board member of the Southwest YMCA, and was a founding member of the Commercial Real Estate Professionals in Houston.
