Bio
Dan Kaplan is the Executive Vice President of Operations based in the Property Markets Group’s New York office. Dan is responsible for executing acquisitions, underwriting, and oversight of the execution of PMG’s business plan post acquisition, be it ground up development or repositioning. Dan has nearly ten years of direct real estate experience.
He began his career with JP Morgan Investment Banking working in the Real Estate Structured Finance Group. After JP Morgan, Dan held senior responsibility with Alvarez and Marsal / Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc., working on the largest private distressed real estate work-out in history. In this position Dan was instrumental in the diligence, structuring, and sale of an $800m private real estate company to a large domestic pension. Most recently Dan spent two years in a senior position with the large asset development firm, LCOR Inc.
Dan holds a BA in Business Administration from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.
