Daniel currently serves as the CEO and Owner of Investment Management Associates, Inc. IMA is a “boutique firm” specializing in the purchase and/or ground up construction, management and leasing of select shopping centers ranging in size from 40,000 sq. ft. to 120,000 sq. ft. These centers are currently located throughout the Florida Market. It is his philosophy to buy, build, and hold for the long term. In addition, Daniel leads the “offense” in his firm, i.e., the acquisition, brokerage and leasing teams. The firm‘s Brokerage Division leases its own and select third party shopping centers, while specializing in the out-parcel arena: restaurants, banks, gas stations, etc., with great emphasis on the restaurant industry. The Restaurant Division is currently selling or leasing up to 80 hospitality properties a year. IMA’s Mortgage Department procures loans only for its closest clients. He has owned his own restaurants for over 20 years. Daniel began his professional career in the hospitality field, obtaining a B.A. Degree from Florida International University’s world renowned School of Hospitality, in both the hotel and restaurant fields. He began his college career in the School of Business at the University of Florida. His real estate career began in 1980 with a large brokerage firm, specializing in the syndication field, while beginning the restaurant representation business that is so prevalent today. His currently owned companies began in 1987, transforming/merging into the current company, Investment Management Associates, Inc. At one time, IMA oversaw the construction, procurement, management and leasing of 65 centers in eight states. The portfolio ranged from 30,000 sq. ft. strip centers to 450,000 sq. ft. shopping malls. Daniel held a securities license (Series 7) necessary for formal syndication transactions, and holds the company’s real estate brokerage licenses. He is involved in numerous community and professional organizations, including the ICSC’s Government Affairs and Planning Committees.
