Dan Shoevlin, Senior Vice President, has an impressive 31 year career which consists of extensive experience and success in project leasing along with a noteworthy amount of national and regional retailer and restaurant tenant representation.
Dan began his real estate career in 1985 at Hopkins-Shafer under the direction of Mickey Ashmore, currently the Chairman of Retail Services Americas at CBRE. Dan became a Senior Vice President and partner of Hopkins Commercial Real Estate Company in 1991. During his tenure with the Hopkins companies he was the company's Top Producer from 1986 to 1989.
In 1992, Dan was instrumental in kicking off the restart of the commercial retail division of Henry S. Miller Company. Dan was a Top 10 Company-Wide Producer at Henry S. Miller Company 14 of his 16 years with the firm, and he is a member of the prestigious Chairman's Council. Dan held the position of Executive Vice President of Henry S. Miller Company from 1995 until 2008.

Dan joined UCR in 2009 and was instrumental in building its project leasing presence on a local, regional and national level. He joined CBRE in 2015 through its acquisition of UCR. Dan is currently personally responsible for overseeing and servicing over 5 million square feet of retail properties across the country. Some of Dan's notable institutional clients include Deutshe Asset & Wealth Management (formerly RREEF), Prudential Real Estate Services (PGIM), RPAI, Heitman, USAA, Brixmor, LaSalle Investment Management, CIM Group, Ohio Teacher Retirement Fund and CW Capital. A few of Dan's notable project leasing success stories include the lease-up of Central Texas Marketplace in Waco, Danada Square West in Wheaton, IL, Highlands of Flower Mound, Flower Mound, TX; The Village at Allen, Allen TX; Sherman Commons, Sherman, TX; Plano Market Street, Plano, TX and LakeSide Market, Plano TX.
Dan has been recognized on numerous occasions by the Dallas Business Journal as a Heavy Hitter and by Costar as one of the top retail brokers in the country. In 2013, he was awarded the Jean Smith Service Award, UCR's highest honor for his exceptional leadership and service to the firm. He was consistently a Top 10 Producer at UCR and he became a partner at UCR in 2014.
Dan grew up in a western suburb of Chicago. He graduated from Texas Christian University in 1985 earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance and a minor in real estate. Dan is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors.
