Bio
Dale Watchowski has overseen the growth of REDICO’s portfolio to over $3 billion in value, encompassing in excess of 18 million square-feet of space nationally. In addition to leading the development and execution of long-term strategy and investments, he plays a hands-on role in day-to-day operations.
Mr. Watchowski has more than 30 years of real estate expertise in both local and national platforms, with a diverse spectrum of experience in acquisitions, development, capital markets and operations. Prior to joining REDICO, Mr. Watchowski was Chief Investment Officer at Kojaian Companies, where he was instrumental in growing the company into a national full-service real estate organization. He has also held senior management positions at some of the nation's largest financial institutions including Travelers/Citigroup, HSBC, and J.P. Morgan Chase.
In addition to his role at REDICO, Mr. Watchowski serves as President and CEO of American House Senior Living Communities, one of the nation’s largest owners and operators of senior housing communities. Mr Watchowski also serves as President & CEO of Continuum Services, a facilities maintenance and management company, and is an owner of AQUIS, a national leader in the refurbishment of air handling systems.
He currently serves on the board of The American House Foundation, AQUIS, the executive advisory board of Argentum (Assisted Living Federation of America), the executive board of the American Senior Housing Association (ASHA), and as a trustee of the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan. Mr. Watchowski has been the recipient of several awards and has appeared on a number of industry-related lists, including, the EY Entrepreneur of the Year award (2006 for REDICO and 2016 for American House), Crain’s Detroit Business’ Newsmaker of the Year in 2015, and Crain’s Detroit Business’ 50 Names to Know in Real Estate in 2016.
